Demaryius Thomas hopes the Broncos have a starting quarterback soon

The Denver Broncos’ quarterback competition hasn’t received much attention this offseason. Thanks to Demaryius Thomas, we finally have some type of gauge on what’s going on in Denver.

Thomas had good things to say about both Trevor Siemian and Paxton Lynch, and hopes that the team will decide on a starter a week and a half into training camp. Trevor been speaking up more than Paxton, Thomas said. You know, Paxton’s still young, and Trevor played a lot more last year. They both had their up and down days.

Broncos can be Super Bowl contenders again if their offense shows more life

It’s hype week.

What exactly is this loosely conceived theme that obviously escaped the attention of the company’s burgeoning ranks of senior management? All this week, our network of 32 team sites and the NFL staff here at SB Nation dot com will feature a series of about an amazing collection of players who are going to dazzle us this year on and off the field.

You can find all of these posts collected here. Keep checking back, because we’ll be adding more as the week continues.

Chidobe Awuzie is a rangy cornerback with great tackling skills, but his pedestrian interception numbers could keep voters from recognizing him. Enter Charlton, who showed strong improvement throughout his college career before landing as Dallas’s first-round pick this spring. At 6’6 and 280 pounds, he’s a beast who can use that leverage to confuse blockers and attack quarterbacks.

JuJu Smith-Schuster has the talent to thrive in the NFL, but as a rookie, he’ll be staring up the depth chart at Antonio Brown, Martavis Bryant, Darrius Heyward-Bey, and Sammie Coates. As a result, Watt appears the most likely candidate to make a splash in 2017. He’s got name value thanks to older brother J.J., but his resume at the University of Wisconsin paints him as a high-level pass rusher 11.5 sacks in his lone season as a starter last year.

Once 19 games below .500, the Heat are on verge of playoffs

Goran Dragic blew up like his eye in Wednesday’s return to action against the Pelicans.

Stephenson, who has seen action in 12 games in 2016-17, appearing in a half-dozen contests apiece for the Pelicans and Timberwolves, gives an Indiana team which has given up 100 or more points in five of its last six while going 2-4 during the span another sizable, athletic defender who isn’t afraid to get into ballhandlers on the perimeter. It remains to be seen how much playing time he’ll command on a squad that includes not only George (22.4 ppg, 6.8 rpg, 3.2 apg) but serviceable wings Thaddeus Young and C.J. Miles, both of whom are averaging double-digits in scoring, to give a late-season boost to the league’s 19th-ranked offense. Stephenson’s 9.0 player efficiency rating this season will be the lowest on the Pacers’ roster.

The signing wreaks of a team, reaching to hold onto a playoff spot it knows could be slipping away. It’s a position the Pacers likely never thought they’d be, heading into the season with a healthy George, a blossoming big man in Myles Turner (14.7 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 2.1 bpg) and big-time Cheap Goalkeeper Jerseys Cheap Hockey Jerseys Canada free agent signee point guard Jeff Teague (15.4 ppg, 7.8 apg), but here they are.

There’s no telling where they’ll be come next offseason when George could exercise his player option and test the market as a restricted free agent. Adding Stephenson could be far too little, far too late.
